ΕΠΙΚΟΙΝΩΝΙΑ ΜΕ ΤΟ ΠΛΟΙΟ ANTHEM OF THE SEAS
Τα παιδιά της Στ'1 επικοινωνούν με το πλοίο "Anthem of the Seas"
Hello Captain Mrs Elena Hatzisavva! We are the 6th Grade students St’1 – from D’ Primary School in Aglantzia (Key Stage Two). We are learning English, and we are so excited to work with you, following your ship’s journey on the Cruise Mapper and learning so much about the Anthem of the Seas! We would love to know more about your life at sea, so we have prepared some questions for you.
Questions about the Job & Daily Life:
What is the most interesting or surprising thing about being the Captain of such a big ship?
What does a typical day look like for you on the Anthem of the Seas?
What is the most challenging part of your job, and how do you handle it?
How many people work with you on the ship, and what is your favourite part of the cruise?
What is your favourite restaurant on the ship?
When you are not working, what is your favourite activity to do on the Anthem of the Seas?
Can you visit the same places as the passengers on the Anthem of the Seas, like the restaurants, the pools, or the shows, in your free time?
Are there special areas on the ship only for the crew (like a private cafeteria, gym, or lounge)? If yes, what is your favourite 'crew-only' spot?
Did you always want to be a Captain? What inspired you to choose this career?
What is the longest time you have worked on the ship without seeing your family or loved ones in person?
How do you manage to stay in touch with your family while you are at sea?
Questions about the Ship & Technology:
How fast can the Anthem of the Seas travel, and how much fuel does it use?
What kind of special equipment or technology do you use to navigate and stay safe?
What is your favourite place on the ship that the passengers don't usually see?
What happens if there is a big storm? How do you keep the passengers and the ship safe?
Questions about Travel & the Ocean:
What is the most beautiful port or city you have ever visited with the Anthem of the Seas?
Have you ever seen any unusual or amazing sea animals (like whales or dolphins) close to the ship?
How do you protect the ocean and the environment while traveling?
Where is the Anthem of the Seas going next, and what are you most excited to see there?
Questions about Decision-Making:
Have there been times when you had to make a very difficult or quick decision to keep the ship safe, even if the passengers didn't know about the potential risk?
Questions about Time Zones and Travel:
We have a 10-hour time difference! When the ship travels, how often do you change the ship's clock, and who decides when to do it?
Questions about Secret Codes and Communication:
Do you use any secret codes or special words over the loudspeaker so that only the crew understands, especially for things like safety or technical issues?
Can you share one example of a code word or phrase that the crew uses that the passengers probably don't know the meaning of, maybe for something funny or a clean-up task?
That's all for now. Thank you very much, Captain Elena! We look forward to watching your videoς and learning the answers. We hope you have a safe and wonderful voyage on the Anthem of the Seas!
